Meet Dena —

I’m Dena, and I’m an interpersonal psychoanalyst and social worker. In my New York and Connecticut based private practice, I treat both individuals and couples.

Part of the work of interpersonal psychoanalysis is taking a deep dive into an exploration of your relationships with others. How a person behaves in their relationships can provide great insight into the issues that are making them unhappy. As a result, I pay close attention to the dynamics and patterns in my patients’ relationships in an attempt to help them develop a clearer understanding of themselves and any obstacles they are putting in their own path.

I am a graduate of Smith College, New York University Silver School of Social Work and the William Alanson White Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. I’ve had a private practice in New York and Connecticut for over a decade and specialize in working with individuals in high pressure, demanding careers, parents adjusting to their shift in lifestyle, couples looking to strengthen their relationships, and individuals who are new to therapy. Reach out to schedule a free consultation call to see if we’d be a good fit!
